Your Rich Life starts with freedom

Most Americans live a comfortable life: A 9-5 job, Netflix at night, weekend trips to Home Depot to buy some new shelves, and endless scrolling on Instagram to see photos of places they’ll never visit. For the rest of their life.

I call this “The Great Squeeze.” It’s the slow-burning trap that so many people are stuck in today. You know The Great Squeeze if someone asks you, “How are you?” and your answer is, “Tired.”

I don’t mind working hard, but I want to know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s no wonder why there’s such an epidemic of anxiety, overwhelm, and unrelenting burnout.

I don’t believe you have to suffer for years, all the while waiting for your retirement to finally be happy.

I believe in living your Rich Life now.

Maybe
your Rich Life
looks like:

01

Having a different kind of Monday morning. You wake up as the sun streams through your window at 9:15am — no alarm clock — and roll over to check your phone. You scroll through Instagram for a few minutes, loving the travel photos. You know you’ll be on a beach 3 weeks from now.

02

Traveling around the country in an RV. You work from wherever you want, so you can live wherever you want. You don’t know where you’re going to sleep for the night, and that’s exciting to you.

03

Getting excited it’s January, because it means it’s time for your annual 6-week sabbatical. You’re going to Europe this year, starting in Paris for a couple of weeks to visit art galleries and museums, then on to Norway, Sweden, and Finland to tour the Scandinavian countryside. You’ve designed your trip around memorable experiences, not your budget.

04

Working for whoever you want. If you can’t stand working with one of your clients, you end the contract and move on to the next one, because you know you’re good enough to land as many clients as you want.

05

Or maybe it’s just never having to answer an email again.

Here’s the key: Your Rich Life is yours

That means you might love spending hours working on your garden, you might travel for two months every year (or never travel), or you might hire a piano teacher to help you learn faster.

In fact, the more you design your Rich Life, the more bewildering it will be to others. For example, one of my students used my book to retire in his 30s. He and his wife travel the country in an RV.

That’s not my Rich Life — but I love that it’s theirs!

Your Rich Life is yours — not mine, not your friends’, and not your parents’. I don’t judge. Over the next 2 weeks, I’m going to be sending you my best material on how you start designing your life around freedom. While you’re waiting, there are a couple of resources I want to share with you.
