How to get traffic to your blog (two strategies I used to gain over 1 million readers?in under a year)

How to get traffic to your blog (two strategies I used to gain over 1 million readers?in under a year)

Today, Im going to share two strategies Ive used to get traffic to my websites from extremely high-traffic blogs like Lifehacker and sites like the Wall Street Journal.

These strategies are the same ones I used to 10x my blog traffic in just one yearTake a look at the numbers for yourself:

chart of blog traffic in 2014 vs. 2015
IWT traffic 2014 vs 2015

This advice for getting more traffic doesnt apply to just blogging either. You can use it to get more customers or clients, get more followers on social media, or snag your dream freelance job.

How to get traffic to your blog in 2 steps

Table of Contents:

We’ll look at each of these strategies in detail. But first I want to share with you the mindset for getting more traffic (and money) to your blog.

On a recent forum where both new and experienced bloggers share tips for getting traffic, SEO, etc., most of the discussions were debating minutiae about meaningless changes they could make to their blog to get more readers.

What SEO plug-in should I use? one asked. Does anyone think I should change my blogs name??? another wondered.

After 20 minutes of reading, I had to close the window because I was getting so frustrated.

Look, heres a simple chart of what matters for getting traffic for your site:

pie chart of different ways to get more traffic to your blog

Basically, there are only two ways that really matter to get traffic to your website without spending a fortune in advertising:

  1. Writing really good content. What I call remarkable content  and then telling the right people about it.
  2. Writing amazing guest posts. Articles for other relevant blogs with more traffic than you.

The best part: Once you learn the two systems for getting traffic to your blog, you can start using them today. The key to successfully driving traffic to your blog is to focus on the big wins, instead of getting lost in tiny details that don’t matter.

1. The ‘Remarkable Content Strategy’ (one of the absolute best ways to attract targeted new readers)

Youve seen awesome writing on the web, right? Work that creates reputations and builds businesses.

Maybe you read people like Tim Ferriss, Neil Patel, Brian Clark, or one of the other big-name bloggers who regularly produce high-caliber material you cant get enough of.

Their amazing content turned them into respected experts, helped them build a loyal fan base, and opened up huge opportunities in their business and personal lives. And it all started with great content.

The real question is: Can you do the same?

There is a proven system for creating remarkable content. A system that helps you churn out amazing articles, blog posts, and emails anytime you want.

For now, I want to share just one tactic that will help you craft top-performing content that floods your blog with traffic. To leverage this tactic, you just need to answer three questions:

#1: What can I create that would be irresistible to people?

This is content that people see and immediately need to read.

Did you catch that? Its not enough that they want to read it. They feel so compelled to click on your article that its like they need to read it.

To do this, you need to know your audience better than they know themselves. This involves a lot of research and, gasp, talking to people.

Over at GrowthLab (IWTs sister site about entrepreneurship), we call this the Immersion Strategy. Its the alternative to diving into writing a blog post with nothing in mind and getting zero traffic as a result.

While there are a lot of different ways to go about it, the best way is by going to the places online and in real life where your readers might hang out.

Luisa Zhou, a former student of mine, did this, and it helped net her $1.1 million in less than a year.

From Luisa:

I started spending all my free time hanging out where my potential clients were online (free Facebook groups) and directly engaging with them by sharing valuable content and answering any questions I could about advertising.

Is there a place online your readers like to hang out? Maybe a subreddit, Facebook group, or message board?

What about meetups in real life? What groups or organizations are they a part of?

Find them. Spend some time talking, and most importantly, listening to them. Youll discover topics and pain points that your reader will want answered.

When you write content your readers care about, theyll happily devour your work.

#2: How can I make it so valuable that theyll write to me to say, Thanks, this really helped me?

Great content solves a problem.

Think about one of the best-selling books of all time, How to Win Friends and Influence People. That book solves a huge problem for people: making friends. And it presents the information in a way you can use right away. It includes word-for-word conversation scripts and action steps for you to follow, which makes the content immediately helpful to you.

Great content is about more than just the information. Its about getting your audience the results they want.

So include ALL the information your readers need without overwhelming them.

Another one of my students did an excellent job of this. While most bloggers rehashed vague networking advice, she distilled her knowledge into specific action steps her readers could follow.

Then, she went a step further and included word-for-word email scripts to try. If you wanted to network with VIPs, everything you needed was in that one post. Making it easy for your readers to implement your ideas is critical.

#3: What do I really feel I have to share with the world?

If you care about something, youre definitely not alone. Someone out there will want to read your writing, especially if youre passionate about the content and add in your own personality.

Top bloggers dont hide their beliefs, personality, and quirks. Instead, they create a personal connection with their audience by being themselves.

After all, how boring would I Will Teach You To Be Rich be if I didnt show my sense of humor and crack a few jokes from time to time?

If your writing lacks a personal touch, people will click away. Open up. Tell a story or two. Include a picture. The more real you are, the more youll stand out.

2. The ‘Guest Post Strategy’ (Use this to flood your blog with highly-familiar traffic)

Once you write really good content, youre going to see traffic come into your site. BUT if you really want to flood your blog with traffic, youre going to have to write remarkable content for another blogger who has more traffic than you.

Its funny when you point this out to many new bloggers by saying, Hey, why dont you write up something really good and send it to a bigger blogger as a guest post? many of them quickly make up a bunch of excuses. Well, uh I am really busy this weekend or Im in the middle of this really interesting post on how HSBC interest rates changed! Yeah right, okay.

But its not just as simple as deciding to write a guest post. When it comes to high-traffic bloggers, there are very specific ways to approach them so theyll accept your pitch.

It all boils down to creating a system for creating and promoting your content to these bloggers.

Heres what that system looks like:

  1. Strategy and planning (1 hour / week). This is when you research different bloggers and websites you can reach out to with bigger audiences than you.
  2. Creating new content (2 hours / week). This is crafting content targeted towards specific bloggers.
  3. Promoting new content (2 hours / week). This is time spent reaching out to those bloggers and websites with your content to see who wants it.

Heres an example from one of my students (a fitness blogger) on how he breaks that system down for him.

schedule of activities for increasing traffic to your blog

The best part about this system: You dont even need to have a blog yet you can just write your article on a Google document and share the link with whomever it is youre reaching out to.

The point is to get creative and get some traction on other websites, regardless of what stage youre at.

Weve already covered writing great content and if youre reading this, Im going to assume you know who the heavy hitters in your field of expertise are.

Now I want to show you how you can reach out to them using a proven email strategy called the 1-2 Punch. These are the emails youre going to be sending to other bloggers and websites thatll get your foot in the door for guest posting.

Heres what they look like:

My 1-2 Punch email scripts:

Email #1: Introduction

Hi NAME,

My name is NAME and Im a big fan of your work. I especially loved what you wrote about TOPIC because AUTHENTIC REASON.

Im thinking of starting a website myself and was hoping I could get some quick advice. The idea is to help AUDIENCE get RESULT. I just wrote my first article HERE, but Im trying to improve it so that its really excellent.

You have a lot more experience than me. If it were you, what do you think would make this better?

– Add more A

– Talk more about B

– Etc.

What do you think? Is this something you feel would resonate with your readers if done right?

-Ramit

Email #2: Follow-up

NAME,

Thanks so much for your feedback. Im going to make those changes right now. If its OK with you, Ill send you an update when its finished.

One more thing: This is a bit further down the line, but would you be at all interested in having me contribute a guest post to your site once I have everything up and running?

It would really help me get the ball rolling and I think your readers would love it. You can even use this post if you like it.

Let me know thanks!

-Ramit

Heres why these emails work:

  • Ben Franklin Effect. People love helping each other and when they help you once, theyre much more likely to help you again. This is called the Ben Franklin Effect and its at the core of what makes these emails so effective.
  • Not spammy. Youre adding value to them and their website. By doing so, theyre going to be much more inclined to add value to you.
  • Thoughtful. These emails show that youre not just some wannabe internet marketer shooting off boilerplate emails. Rather, youre showing them that youve put effort into knowing who they are and what they want.

3 examples of people who could use this strategy

As I said, this works for bloggers and many other areas of business:

  1. Youre a new blogger who wants more traffic: If youre a blogger and youre looking to grow traffic, put yourself in the mind of bloggers with large readerships: Theyre busy, they have huge egos, and they need to constantly post new, interesting stuff to satisfy their readers voracious appetites for content. Could you write one piece of excellent content for them? As an example, here were the results of Nora Dunns guest post for my site, which drove nearly 100,000 pageviews in 72 hours. I invited her to have a regular guest spot on I Will Teach You To Be Rich.

results from blog post that brought in over 100,000 views

  1. You want to break into an industry: Lets say you read fashion magazines and really want to break into the industry. The magazine needs fresh perspectives, especially things that havent been done. How could you help them?
  2. You just started a new company and need customers: How about if youre starting a business on Christmas ornaments, and you arent sure how to get traffic to your website. The first thing I would do is record some interesting videos for other Christmas sites and give them away for free.

A really helpful post Ramit. I am new in the ground and considering mostly on nice content and simplicity. Will try your tips soon ... thanks again :)

    • Eve Adams

I totally agree with you AG! The thing called "guest post" really works, because you are not just building relationship with your co-blogger, you also build a relationship with their readers. I guess the main goal here is to create a reputable name inside the bloggerworld to build a real high authority blogs that gets thousands of visits. Cheers.

    • Noy

My one way to do it is publish a viral post, whether a news or a tutorial, or a solution to a problem. There's this thing called Extended List, wherein you add more to an already ranking post, for example: 20 best ways to speed up your Wifi. Make it 30 best ways to speed up your wifi; something like that. By the way, Eve, you have a very beautiful face. :)

Very interesting. But do big bloggers ever even read their mail? I just don't get the whole "guest" blog thing. Being a newbie sucks sometimes. Anyways... HEY! I added my website above. Probably won't get many hits unless I start somewhere. Why not here? I'm going to be doing music reviews starting next year, till then I decided to share with whoever wants to read my top 100 favorite albums of all-time list. I just started and could use some followers. So check it out!

How about inviting the "bigger bloggers" to be a guest on YOUR blog? It would seem the best and fastest way to build an authority site is to have frequent posts on your blog from those who already have the authority. Just a thought.

First step make sure your website or blog is properly architected in terms of code and content so that people can find you when conducting a google search. You should run a complete crawl of your website using a free professional optimization analytic tool like https://www.crawlmonster.com and start there.

  • David Turnbull

I think I need to stop being lazy and start my guest posting. Nice post. :-)

  • Zoe

Great perspective. I think the reason such a small proportion of bloggers take this route is because they're looking for the magic cookie. It's a lot easier to fret about SEO plugins than it is to sit down and wrestle out an incredible blog post. But what a simple formula if you *are* willing to put in the work!

  • Joseph C. McDaniel

This is a wonderful and profound post. Oftentimes the best ideas are the simplest. I'm an Arizona bankruptcy lawyer and a beginning blogger. Thank you for the great ideas. Many of my clients will be changing jobs or starting new business ventures because their industries have tanked in Phoenix. I'll be directing the new venture folks to this post simply because it's a useful marketing tip for any sort of business. I'm also a new subscriber to your blog.

  • Writer's Coin

Very brave of you to jot this down. I can't wait to hear how many guest posts come your way now...probably one from me, too.

  • Peter Wiliams

I agree with writer's coin. I would be interesting to know how many extra guest post request you get after this post. The guest post thing is very true for me. I found about 15 of the 20 blogs I follow in Google reader through guest posts. I read this blog because of your guest post on Tim's blog. I have even added your book to my reading list because of it.

  • water levels

I totally agree with the guest writing percentage but you have to earn the credit to be a guest author on a popular blog. I think what is best to do is to identify what style work best for you and give it your best shot.

  • Matthew J. Bayne

Ramit, Again, thank you for writing this post. I found it especially insightful, considering I've been toying with blogging the past four years. However I believe the most difficult part is taking your abstract concept (whatever your blog’s focus maybe) and putting it into motion. Nothing is more important than personal initiative and direction.

  • Vic

I like the make-a-video idea. As someone trying to get more traffic, I think this might help...

  • Keith@bewealthygethappy

Ramit - It is awesome that you are sharing your "secrets" like this. Of course, it seems so freaking simple after you say it.

  • AG

Ramit, what is your take on Blog Carnivals? Two of my posts recently got published and I got some traffic too.

  • A-ron

Ramit, would you recommend reaching a certain mass, post count wise, on your blog first before employing this "tactic"? (I hate using the word tactic, because it's sounds like an ulterior motive.) I think it's also important to be prepared for the influx of traffic you will receive if your article gets posted on the "Big Blog". What will you do with all that traffic?? Can your server handle it? Why do you want it?

    • Francis

Adding to what AG's reply. What you do with the traffic is a question even an entertainment blogger has an answer for, to get more readership and be authority in their niche. For entrepreneurship bloggers like myself, I convert my traffics and make them prospective buyers or products or readers of paid contents. In all, only a few percentage of bloggers does not wish to monetize their contents. All the best. #TTE

  • Ramit Sethi

AG: Blog carnivals may be useful when you FIRST start, but I stopped contributing after about 2. They're too huge and it's basically an insider's game of bloggers writing for other bloggers. I personally don't see the value. A-ron: Don't worry about your server. I bet you won't get enough traffic to bring it down. And even if you do, so what? Mine still goes down when I get linked to from Yahoo.com, etc. But you're right about being prepared in other ways -- see my theory on creating a "Catcher's Mitt" on the linked article.

  • Bruce C Ziebarth

Ramit, As usually, you have written a timely and very helpful post. As a new blogger, I really appreciate this information and will be applying it. I will send you an e-mail on how this next week goes for me. Have a great day, Bruce C Ziebarth

  • Raiman Au

Ramit, thank you very, very much for this post. You probably don't realize it, but after reading it just now, you probably changed my destiny by giving me focus to my goals and pointing me in the right direction. I am a fashion stylist getting started in Japan, but also happen to be running against a time limit to make my dreams come true. But armed with this knowledge, everything just got a lot simpler (though maybe not necessarily easier). I hope that in the near future, I'll have the chance to write a great guest post for you as well.

  • Raiman Au

I also apologize for pingback if it's rude. I still have a lot to learn about the basics of blogging, and I guess controlling pingbacks in one of them.

It's a very good point that you are making. Sometimes the most obvious things in the world sit right before us, and we turn a blind eye. I think it's time to venture out into the blogosphere, get to know some quality people, and start sending them guest posts. In giving, we receive.

  • Anthony

Those are great tips. At the end of the day, writing quality content is still key. Blogging takes real effort after all.

  • Brian Lee

Love it. It's always been about reaching out to others, but why do we forget that?

I've read dozens of blogging tips. This is the first blog that focuses entirely on every way guest-blogging helps. I think it's the credibility you add when you provide those images of someone else's blog traffic logs that really show us readers that it really works well. Thanks-

  • El Cheapo

Good advice. The pie chat was both informational and funny. I think you hit the mark when you said the advanced stuff only matters when you hit 100000 visitors. Otherwise, you're focusing on details that may/may not help much. Trying to grow my first blog, so please let me know how I'm doing and give any feedback you might have.

  • Wealth Pilgrim

This - and the accompanying post - was great. I wish I had read this 5 months ago! I've been guest posting and the results have been good...but with your insights....I hope to take the results up a notch or 2. Thanks

Thanks for sharing this post. Honestly I don't deal much on writing guest post for fear that my post is not good enough. Well, how can I know if I'll never try?

  • Tim Singleton

Thanks so much for this article. I sweat over the actual posts, moved from Wordpress to Joomla! now I am returning to Wordpress...maybe...and you are right about getting caught up in the technical details. I write about the things I care about and PHP nor mysql are amongst those things. I appreciate the head clearing post. I am going to come back and spend some time here. -Tim

  • Diwant Vaidya

@Tim, that is a very bad place to be. Pick the tool that works and if they both work choose your favorite (and if you like them both, coin toss). Pick the tool and get to worrying the important world changing content that you will generate.

  • Olga

Thank you for sharing this well-structures information based on personal success. This is a sort of advice it always pays to follow. :)

  • Lacey

This is great - How would you suggest one should go about reaching out to a more popular blogger about doing a guest post? What info should you include in your proposal e-mail?

  • Mark C. Webster

Great post. Sort of reflects the changing face of all PR and Marketing. Establish relationships, and provide true value. These are the ways to drive traffic and build a successful business. The days of just crossing fingers hoping for a hit are over.

I feel really satisified with myself for doing my research before diving in straight in making blogs. These are some really good information I have come across so far and I really am grateful for the author of the article. Thanks a lot mate.

  • Srinivas Rao

I started the Skooloflife about 6 weeks ago and have been writing for it everyday. One thing I've been doing is actually interviewing other bloggers and enabling them to guest post for me. I think your post on how to write a guest post is very detailed which is awesome and I'll have to work through it.

  • AnythingOverIP

Very nice article, thanks for the advice. I've just started blogging about 3 weeks ago, and it's been a huge learning curve. My website is starting to see some steady readers, and the page views are starting to increase, but certainly not as much as I would like. I'll definately try some of your techniques to increase traffic to my site. Thanks again

  • Archana

Super-helpful - I'm going to pitch another blog today! We've also seen some success in posting guest authors' pieces on our blog - they go out and tell all their friends and contacts about their post and we get new readers. Hey, if you ever want to write a post for us about philanthropy and South Asian Americans, we would be thrilled!!

  • Nicholas Gerard

Greetings Ramit, Writing a guest post is an excellent strategy. What about someone who has just started writing a blog? Can he/she be considered for this...or must one already have a mini track record?

In my opinion, guest posting in niche specific sites can be really effective in driving traffic for your website or blog. Do you think we should buy traffic from different sites that provide paid traffic?

  • Health Products That Works

Do you think we should buy traffic from different sites that provide paid traffic?

  • P S Trading

Thanks for sharing this post. People don't know how much work it takes to start getting traffic until they start their own blog. Being a blogger is not an easy task, it may not be difficult to write an article, but being able to be consistent is the problem. And once you're not being consistent it makes it even harder to build your audience.

  • Lohit

It's simply good one to the new bloggy SEO people. Thanks for sharing it.

  • FREDD

I never thought of that way. But being a guest to write a post is absolutely nice idea to gain more traffic to your website. Thanks for this amazing article. I will implement it ASAP.

  • IntrinsicallyFit

  • Maqsood

pretty cool strategies. Hope they work for me! And also thanks for sharing these tips!

  • Michelle

This is a great post. I do have a question: How would I approach a bigger blogger in regards to giving me the opportunity to post as a guest?

  • Life, Tailored

This is what's turning traditional journalism on its head. Media mainstays like The New York Times are having trouble making money, and writers are complaining about having to work for "free" by contributing guest posts on sites like Huffing Post, but in reality, they aren't working for free, they are getting publicity for their brand. The trick to becoming successful in this new economy is creating and monetizing your own personal brand. Ramit has some great ideas for writers out there looking for ways to monetize their brand.

  • Tyler Moore

I am going to try out this guest post idea, but I'm a little confused on if you are suppose to give them one of your posts under a comment on their site or just send them an email. If you could get back to me, that would be great! Thank you for the time and it was a great post! This will really help me out.

  • Anjali

Thank you so much Ramit ! i have already planned for guest post but do you think a page with few 100 likes? people would be interested to post on it ? if yes ..then please guide me ..how?

  • Neha

Ramit, As usually, you have written a timely and very helpful post.

Yes this deems to be true, but for a blogger that is more of a lifestyle blogger that can be a bit more difficult. When you are just writing blog posts about things that are relevant to you and are going on in your life, why and how would they want you to write blogs for them? I should just use I...yes that is my problem. Also I am just starting out so this is nearly impossible for me to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. https://luckyhollie.wordpress.com/

Its true that guest posting helps to get more traffic for your blog but it should be in niche category and the content must also be unique..

  • govind

Is it possible for new blogger who have no expirence is writing?. You need good content which shall be original. It is the fact 4to 5% of the bloggers have skill to write good content. If not then how to write uniquie original conten is the big question infront of each blogger. will you guide me regarding how to write good article?

  • Alex

Should definitely try guest posting and I could also use some help if u guys would critique my writing:) Zsachi.wordpress.com

  • Joydeep Dam

Guest post can bring traffic, only if you can produce for top guest posting sites and for that you need to write wow article. Also not all top guest blogging sites can easily accept new bloggers as guest blogger. Also this blog post is well short of providing enough insight on guest posting, i.e. how to find those guest post sites, does guest posting needs promotion all by itself. So unfortunately this post is meant more for professional guest bloggers rather than newcomers.

  • Sreekant

Wow.. That was indeed an awesome article. It couldn't go better than this..!! Will surely share this to my friends now :)

  • piyush

first of all thanks you very much for sharing this info, this is amazing way to get attract people thanks a lot

  • Suraj

Hi How can I find other blogger that are interested in writing for me. Thanks

  • Steve Ceaton

I've been mulling over guest posting, and here I am at your blog! Great headline by the way.

  • Sue

I was wondering, who let's you submit guest posts? Is there a list somewhere of sites that'll let you write for them, or do you just email people and start from there? I'm a new blogger, set up a website recently, and I'm totally curious as to how to make people see my website. Also, totally up for any advice! :D

  • Fred Binary

Hi, I was wondering what do you think about the Guest posting now. I've seen in many other sites that "Google doesn't like you to do guest posting", specially if you get a backlink. It was something like that. I would like to bring more traffic to my blog about how to make money with Binary Options trading. Have a good one!

    • Cristiana Nicolae

Well, I haven't tried that yet, but I would choose to write as guest blogger on a website that doesn't give a backlink to my blog, but instead of that, it gives me full control on my text and signature. If I can show my blog link and my social profiles in my author signature, and if my guest post is interesting, then a lot of reader will be curious about me and will visit my personal blog. And, after all, thsi is what I want, right? I mean, I need a backlink for SEO? But why do I need SEO in the first place? Oh, yeah! To become more visible in search engines and get more visitors. So, if, instead of getting a backlink, I can get visitors directly, what can be wrong? I've heard about Google "punishing" guest bloggers. But it depends where you do guest blogging. If the "host blog" has a bad reputation in Google's eyes, expect that to affect you too. So, you should choose a blog with high PR rank. I also believe that guest blogging on too many blogs, can be seen as spamy.

Keeping in shape may help fight acne by driving back negative stress levels that may come from negative self-regard and depression. But, a few safeguards need to be in place to ward of acne that may result from your physical exertion nutrients. Watch what you put on your body with reference to clothing sports gear and equipment. For instance, tight lyera and nylon exercise outfits may look great in the mixes and on magazine models, but if you’re susceptible to acne issues, avoid these synthetic fabrics that tend to trap in body moister and heat resulting in a bacterium frenzy. Rather, choose loose clothing made of cotton or natural blends to let more air progress to your skin. And when you’re done with your workout, get out of clothing wet from perspiration or water sports, shower and change into dry, clean apparel. And keep your sports gear and equipment clean, too dirty beadgear, for example, may irritate forehead areas prone to acne issues. So toss headlines into the washer after physical exercise sessions. To avoid pore-clothing and skin annoyances that are similar to acne and that may lend to acne, utilize products tableau noncomedogenic or oil-free. Shimmering facial colors may contain a flaky mineral called miea that may cause skin irritations and choke off. How to control Acne (pimples) in home remedies Wash your face daily with a mild cleanser and warm water and also wash your face whenever you feel it’s getting oily, do not apply make-up on skin that is prone to get blackheads, avoid using soap bars to excess moisturizers can cause increase in oil on your skin. 1st remedy: Mix together 2 table spoon baking soda, 1 table spoon cinnamon powder, ½ table spoon lemon juice and 5 table spoon honey then mix all these things properly. Then apply it on your face and wash after 5min. 2nd remedy: Mix one table spoon of honey and the juice of ½ a lemon in a cup of cooked oatmeal grind these all things then rub this mixture over your skin, leave it after 30min and then rinse with lukewarm water, do this once or twice a week then your get good results within month. 3rd remedy: Mixed equal proportions of fuller’s earth (multhani matti), rose water and sandalwood powder then apply this mud pack to your face then wash after it dries up, repeat the process once a week then you got a good result.

Honestly, I came across this blog when I started searching, 'How to get more traffic to my blog?' - and I can safely say, it landed to a perfect place. Writing good content in other popular blogs is something I believe in, and that's a good marketing strategy to spread the word about your blog. Also, you can comment on Youtube videos and other social networking sites. Above all, before getting traffic, you gotta have something in your blog to offer the visitors as well. Again, thanks for this wonderful post.

Some great advice here, Ramit. Good suggestions for driving traffic, both to profit and non-profit sites (which do far too little to advertise themselves). Let's see if I can use these suggestions to interest folks in the Earl J. Arnold Advertising Card Collection - 1885 (arnoldpostcardcollection.blogspot.com) and Photographers Street View (photographersstreetview.com).

  • Freddy Gandarilla

Hi Ramit! This my very first time on your awesome blog here! I think Guest Posting is very powerful, to gain more exposure and free traffic, there is no doubt about it. It just takes a lot of consistency, creativity, and effort to do everything the right way - and benefit from the strategy the best way possible. I have done a few guest posts myself, but I'm increasing that more and more, as I grow and improve my blog. Thank you for this write-up and the tips you are sharing here! It is definitely very helpful! Keep up the great work man! I wish you the best! :D

  • Angelene Verano

You’re right on how to write a blog post that is perfectly optimized because it will attract more readers and prospect consumers and therefore will create traffic back to your website. Another post which I also find relevant to increasing viewers is this post http://www.doz.com/marketing-resources/content-promotion-strategy . I will definitely work on with my website project with collaborated ideas so I can build image and get connections with my consumers. Good luck to us!

It's good to see a well experienced blogger like you who has been in blogging sector since last 12 years, sharing your experience with everyone. I have always heard a lot about guest posting from other fellow bloggers in my region but never experienced it. To be honest, I get bored quite easily since dedicating enough time to write quality content on my own has never been my cliche. I hope this time I might overcome this and put some quality in my blog for others to offer me their guest posts.

  • Daniel Quinonez

Thank You for this article. It was very helpful. I actually needed to hear this to validate everything that I have been doing thinking it was against all the other stuff I have been reading. I always think that it is about the content and not about the tricks and cheating techniques. Either way it is a win win for me because I still love to write and I am passionate about helping people and that is why I do it. Now I just need to ask someone to let me blog happily on their website. Thanks Again! Danny
