Today’s question is this:
How do I generate business ideas?
I’m glad someone is asking this. A lot of people think that some idea is going to fall down from the sky.
That’s not the way it works.
The truth is, you need brainstorming, you need refining, you need testing. There’s a process around finding a good and profitable business idea.
It’s starts by asking yourself a few questions:
- What do I already pay for? You pay for someone to change your oil. You pay for somebody at a restaurant to cook your food. Maybe you pay for someone to clean your apartment. Who knows?
- What skills do I have? Maybe it’s website design, or copywriting.
- What do my friends say that I’m great at?
- What do I do on a Saturday morning when everyone is asleep and I’m up reading different blogs? Do you read about email marketing? Dog training? Something else?
These are great starting points. Once you have answers to these questions, you can test them out to see if they’re going to be profitable before you invest a ton of time and effort investing in ways to generate business ideas.
