I’ve been to Hawaii a few times. Once, I got invited to speak there for some financial event, so I got all excited and packed for a 4-day trip. When I got there, I realized I’d forgotten flip-flops, so I went down to the gift shop to get some.

$55 for flip-flops!!

This was years ago, when I hadn’t yet had the light of my soul burned out by Manhattan prices. Standing there, what could I do? I begrudgingly bought the flip-flops, vowing to wear them until they were old and completely splintered. 8 years later, I still wear the same ones.

$55 makes no difference to me now, but like the Taco Bell Mexican Pizza that I will still never buy, I’ll wear these flip-flops until the end of time if I have to.

On a more pleasant note, I LOVE Hawaii, and I’m giving away a “getaway” vacation so you can recharge and take a step away from the day-to-day.

2 roundtrip tickets and $500 for your hotel. My gift to one lucky IWT reader.

Imagine being able to land and be whisked to your hotel, where you can order a bright pink drink with an umbrella and not apologize for it. Imagine the salty air, taking a long weekend, and even the looks on your co-workers’ faces when you tell them where you’re going. (“Oh, just taking a trip to Hawaii. See you on Tuesday!”)

Register now for your chance to win this trip to Hawaii for 2 (takes 10 seconds).
