His hands are open; he's explaining something. You can tell from the body language and the unnatural way the book is being presented. Also, shading etc. But that's not important-- the interview is sweet. The book (I still haven't bought it yet) seems really good. In theory these funds are great but in practice they are not all doing what they are supposed to. I bought into a lifecycle 2005 fund last year which should have had a large portion in money market type funds and I lost around 30% instead of the 5% to 10% that it should have. It was deffinately a lazy move on my part and I wouldn't do it again. It is worth the time to make your own portfolio of mutual funds so that you are sure that your allocation is what it needs to be.
