A blog on personal finance (banking, saving, budgeting and investing) and personal entrepreneurship.

After receiving approximately 16 million emails about how long my site takes to open, today I’ve switched to Wordpress with archives.
http://www.iwillteachyoutoberich.com should open much, much faster now. You’ll also notice a few tweaks like bigger text, easier-to-read font colors, and easier navigation between posts.
I’ll be launching a major redesign in the next few weeks, but for now, the site should be easier to use and you won’t have to squint your eyes like an 88-year-old man. If you notice any bugs, please leave a comment here and we’ll fix it.
Thanks to Richard Wu, who is a genius and can do anything with MT/Wordpress. If you’re looking for somebody to work on your blog, I highly recommend him.
[Update]: Richard and I were talking on IM:
Richard: btw, i was amused that you mentioned that i can help ppl w/ blogs…are you aware that i can do blogs because we do end to end development for large scale systems w/ massive amounts of data? =P

I'm entering my own bug. At the bottom of a post, it says:
"DONE READING?
Now you can " rel="trackback">trackback from your own site. // Both Comments and Pings are open ?> leave your own comment or subscribe to the newsletter"

Excellent, although the font could be bumped up another notch. And made darker; grey text on white background is a pain to read.

IMO, a solid underline designating links is easier to read than the way it is now. No biggie.

I love this. It's just like it was, except better! The way upgrades should always be....

Thank you. Your rss feeds republished the last 9 posts, but I'll take the one time hit for a permanently faster load time.
The nested comment plug-in might be a nice addition to encourage people to post more.

I was wondering why your homepage was suddenly loading so fast :)

Sheesh...the pressure's on now.
I might have to add a photo or something.
Love the look Ramit. Almost makes up for the fact that I lost my job yesterday looking at porn. Just joking. I don't have a job to lose.

Grey on white is really REALLY hard to read. Please change it back. I have to boost my screen setting to max brightness to read anything.

WONDERFUL changes. I love it; and the load is TONS smoother. I will definitely change from being a 2x/week reader to a nearly everyday reader now that Safari no longer hiccups for 15 seconds upon loading. Thank you.

Having to reenter my name and email to leave a comment is a very reasonable price for scroll bar functionality within less than 15 seconds of starting to load.
