Back to Twitter for a moment. I'm sorry, but I don't get it. I know, it's a way to keep up-to-the-minute tabs on people. But, unless I'm a jealous lover, why would I want to do that?

You mention height. You should realize that weight goes along with height. If a man were to ask me what I think his height is, I would size up his weight. He would look shorter to me if he were overweight. A slender man to me looks taller.

Eric, you are SO RIGHT. I encounter this all the time and it angers me immensely. Great point.

Ramit,

In all fairness to your friend regarding her rule of thumb about men at Match.com, I've found that women are extremely poor at estimating height.

Extremely, extremely, extremely poor.

I did an impromptu experiment about 1 1/2 years ago that stemmed from a bet I made with a friend, and I discovered that the majority of women consistently over-estimate their own height while at the same time consistently under-estimating the height of others. To be fair to women, I didn't ask any men to participate, so this may be widespread amongst both genders.

For instance, I measure 5'10" (measured and verified by 3 independent people), yet most of the women I asked consistently estimated my height at an average of 5'7". Color me unimpressed.

By the way, I won the bet an was $20 richer for doing so.
