Forget the New York Times–here’s the site I’m bragging to all my friends about:

http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?p=953452 (probably NSFW = not safe for work)

Search that page (ctrl-f) for “iwillteach”

Was it actually the goal of IWTYTBR? Getting yourself a fan club of stip-girls to escort you everywhere?

I shall try this nice trick! :-P

Is this safe for work Mr. Ramit?

Well thanks so much--porn at work is a great idea.

Oops, sorry about that. I didn't notice since I was just looking at the words, not the pictures. I updated the post to say NSFW.

Ramit, it wasn't so long ago that you said you wanted to increase your female readership. Is this what you had in mind?

When you've finished salivating like a schoolboy, can we please get back to the intelligent posts?

There were words on that page?

Add my name to the list of people who are going to have to explain that URL at work someday.

Are these silly readers serious? Explain a URL to their manager? Get back to intelligent posts? I'll have to add my name to the list of people whom will have to explain this URL to my boss?

Geez, can't Ramit have a sense of humor?

As far as the website link goes ... I wouldn't work for any company that's proactive about what websites I visit ... talk about a waste of company time and resources because of a single accidental click.

Good luck!

I thought it was pretty funny Ramit!

Maybe these aspiring financial geniuses should take a second to consider that the URL 'stripperweb' just might be NSFW, even if they ignore the warning directly after it. I can't believe how people complain about direct results of their own stupidity....

Congrats, Ramit!

One of the great things about StripperWeb is that it does have a subforum dedicated to personal finance questions. I'm pleased to see you catching on among sex workers.

Time for that "everybody needs a hug" addition to the comments, Ramit. ;)

Well, I wasn't doing my job and reading blogs at work, but my manager doesn't care as long as the site doesn't have stripper (clue? hmmm) in the title.

Calm down.

Ian, my thoughts exactly.

Everybody complaining about getting in trouble should be thanking Ramit. This is a perfect example of a blocking issue! Now that you've realized you will blindly do things suggested to you, you know how much can be avoided by doing the most basic research (checking the URL to see 'stripper' != work appropriate).

Say goodbye to all the poor financial decisions you used to make on a whim.

what i want to know is how did the stripper get to your site? :)

Alex Boutet

@Wen: Probably the same was you did. Stripper girls have to manage money the same way an engeneer, a policemen or a McDonald's cook. Everyone who has money could end up here.

Thanks for the link. Glad to see that you are expanding your target audience. Keep on keeping on, after all, strippers make money too....

Ramit, if any of these girls ask you for a speaking engagement: 1) Make sure you tell them you accept checks and cash in bills larger than $1. Your bank teller might think you've picked up a side job when deposit $1000 in singles. 2) Take a camera. Otherwise, no one's gonna believe you when you tell this story later.
