		<description>Don&#039;t step on the scale! Feeling good is the key. I have never really had a weight problem, but I am still very careful about what I eat, excercising, and how I spend. (most of the time with the spending) I do have a problem with iced coffees from Mcdonalds though. Add 1.87 four times a week and that will make you say what a waste! I never weigh myself, I go by how my clothes feel weighing is depressing. It also helps to get compliments so do&#039;nt forget to give them when you see a change for the better in someone else.</description>

Rippetoe&#039;s book (Starting Strength) is fantastic.  I just started one week ago and I am lifting almost 50% more weight after three workouts and gained 3 pounds and my jeans are still loose.  It is also  the simplest program I&#039;ve seen.  Fits nicely with this article: you don&#039;t need the nitty gritty pseudoscience, just basic principles.</description>

Not exactly a picture of health, he smoked, ate junk food and carried on the entire trip. He lost weight, became rather fit, but never quit smoking nor gave up eating doughnuts and the like. Pay no heed to the naysayers.
