I’m working on an article on restaurants, but I’m looking for an expert or two to bounce my ideas off of. If you have experience in the restaurant industry, please leave a comment here.

Rammit:

I am an attorney in the Restaurant Industry (that is to say, 90% of our clients are Restaurants and I handle all the buying and selling of restaurants for our clients). I would be happy to help you out if you have any questions, or if you would like me to share some insights.

Rammit,
I have 20 years in the industry and started doing market entry consulting for restaurants looking to do international expansion back in 1999. In 2003, I started my own restaurant chain, and still do consulting on the side. I have also been published in some of the industry magazines.

I am an expert in marketing and POS (point of sale) consulting.

I have found that help is just a stroke away. It is my conditioning from our society- I need to make it my own- that is the hindrance for asking for help.

I have over 10 years of experience as a restaurant franchisee with national brands.

Mike, I’ve been in the business since I was 14; that was 26 years ago. I worked in restaurants to help put me through college (telecommunications major) and a few places just after I graduated. I decided I wanted to be a professional chef when I was in my mid 20s. I’ve worked at everything from pizza shops to some of the top resorts and clubs on the East Coast. I’ve work front of the house, back of the house, management…

I opened my own restaurant in 2003 and sold it for a nice profit in 2006. I now work as a chef for a small and cozy yacht club on Hilton Head. If you want to know about restaurants, I’ve seen it all, or heard every story there is to hear about the business.

I worked in restaurants for five years doing pretty much every front of the house job (busboy, waiter, bartender, manager)

I currently am the co-founder of a company, SandwichBoard, that helps restaurants manage their own internet presence.

Ramit, I have been working at a restaurant/bar since Aug 2001 in the Washington DC area. I had waited tables and now I am bartending. I took the 9-5 track after I graduated from college, however, I still keep my job at the restaurant as it is a good source of second income. Let me know if I can be of any help! Feel free to shoot me an email.

I own a restaurant in Tucson, AZ. I’ve been in the business for 26 years, the first eighteen in the back of the house, the past eight in the back, front and admin (that’s what happens when you open your own place.) Happy to answer any questions.

Ramit,

After a long stint building the sales of many different types and sizes of restaurants, I opened a consulting practice to teach the same.

All I do is teach restaurant owners how to increase their sales. Quite frankly, I can show any restaurant owner how to double their sales very, very easily and have done so many many times.

And I’m talking about less work, less stress and more profits too

Let me know if my input could help you and your project.
